Mt. Sabattis Recreation Area is located in beautiful Long Lake, across from the Post Office. The park has something for everyone, in every season! This is a carry in, carry out property.

Getting there

Located right off the main route through town, Mt. Sabattis Recreation Area is easy to find! From the intersection of Routes 30 and 28N, turn right onto NY-28N West / NY-30 South. In 0.2-miles, turn left across from the Post Office.

About the park

In summer, visitors can enjoy a tennis match or basketball game on maintained courts. In winter, there is an ice skating rink and sledding hill. Mt. Sabattis is also the entrance to the Long Lake Snowmobile Trail System.

New in 2021 is a skateboard park at the Geiger Arena. New ramps and rails are designed for use by any non-motorized piece of equipment, including: skateboards, roller blades, scooters, and bikes. The skate park is open from dawn until 10:30 p.m. and is free to use. Equipment included in the set up are 4 quarter pipes, safety rails, launch ramps, fun box, and a grind kit. 

In every season, the view is the best feature. At the pavilion picnic area at the top, the view is fantastic! Please don't drive up to the pavilion, though; the road is not for passenger vehicles.
