Third Lake

Third Lake

Paddle through Second or Fourth Lake to access this isolated body of water. Slightly smaller than the others, but with the same big views, Third Lake is well worth checking out if you're paddling in the area.

Getting there

Locate the state launch for Fourth Lake on Route 28 in the village of Inlet. Use this launch through Fourth Lake to access Third Lake much easier.

Paddling

Third Lake is really an extension of Second Lake that's separated by a peninsula and a short section of narrows. The lake can only be accessed via Second or Fourth lakes. Much of Third Lake is surrounded by private property. This lake is used quite often as a corridor for the entire Fulton Chain of Lakes.

Third Lake is a bit smaller than the others, but still expect to see other motorboats and the possibility of rough water.
