Within the Eighth Lake Public Campground and Day Use Area is the Eighth Lake boat launch. This hard surface launch provides the only public access to Eighth Lake.

The Eight Lake Boat Launch is available through the first snowfall and requires a small day use fee.

Getting there

From Raquette Lake, travel west on Route 28 toward Inlet for approximately 4.8 miles. The campground entrance is on the right.

From Inlet, travel east on Route 28 toward Raquette Lake and Blue Mountain Lake) for approximately 6 miles. The campground is on the left.

There is parking for 10 cars with trailers.
