There is an unpaved launch in Speculator on the northern end of Lake Pleasant near the Sacandaga River Outlet. Boat launch limited to canoes, kayaks and small motor boats on trailers.
Fishing Piseco is popular among fisher-folk for lake trout and land-locked salmon. It also has a solid population of whitefish. Most of the fishing pressure is during the ice fishing season.
