Throughout the year, Speculator comes alive with a vibrant calendar of events that showcase the community's unique Adirondack spirit. Summer kicks off with a massive 4th of July Celebration, featuring a classic parade down Route 30, live music at the pavilion, and a spectacular fireworks display over the public beach at dusk.
As the leaves change, fall traditions take center stage with the Speculator Bear and Wine Festival, where you can sample New York’s finest spirits while learning about local wildlife, and Apple Fest, a family favorite filled with cider, games, and seasonal treats.
The excitement continues into the colder months with the Speculator Holiday Stroll, featuring vendors, a village-wide Yeti Scavenger Hunt, and a tree lighting!
Whether it’s the thrill of a Pond Skimming competition in March or Small Town Holiday Fair in December, there is always a festival, market, or parade to make your visit unforgettable.

Fowler Maple Day
Fowler Maple Day Bring your friends and family for a day of fun as we celebrate creation waking up in the form of sap flowing. Camp Fowler is hosting Fowler Maple Day on Saturday, March 28th from 9 am - 4 pm There will be activities for all ages and experience levels. Never been to Fowler before? McComb's Oak Hill Farm Maple Weekends
McComb's Oak Hill Farm Maple Weekends Maple Weekend is coming up March 21-22 and the 28-29. Right here in Speculator, you can visit McComb's Oak Hill Farm. Open house hours on those weekends are 10 am to 4 pm. They will be boiling sap (weather permitting) and making maple syrup.
