Brown Tract Flow

You'll find peaceful paddling on the Brown Tract Flow, surrounded by birds, wildflowers, and beautiful scenery.

Getting there

The small gravel parking area is on Route 28, about 2.4 miles west of Raquette Lake. Paddlers can enter from Raquette Lake.

Paddling

It's a short 0.6-mile hike down the easy and wide path to the Flow, where a 0.5-mile long raised bridge boardwalk takes paddlers to the water of Brown Tract Flow, which leads out to Raquette Lake. The Flow itself is quiet and peaceful, with lots of wildlife and flora to admire along the way.

This is also part of the Adirondack Canoe Classic, or "90 Miler."
