We have so many amazing events!

The Speculator Area is known far and wide for its amazing seasonal events!

 

Some of our area events are hosted by our Chamber of Commerce and some are hosted by Local Organizations made up of extremely committed volunteers! 

 

From the area Farmer's Market, 4th of July Celebration, AppleFest, Bear and Wine Festival, Oaktoberfest, the annual TWIGS Craft fair and beyond,  our area events  sure do shine!

New York State’s Free Fishing Days let residents and non-residents fish without a license. It’s a great chance to try fishing, reconnect with the sport, or bring friends and family for a fun day outdoors. Regular fishing rules still apply!

Hike to Colonel Pecks Grave

Colonel Peck Gravesite Commemoration & Historical WalkRevolutionary War 1776–2026 Step back into our region’s proud Revolutionary War heritage and honor one of Lake Pleasant’s earliest patriots at a special historical gathering and guided walk to Colonel Peck’s gravesite. Hosted at the Lake Pleasant Library, the program begins with an engaging historical presentation by Aaron Weaver, Lake Pleasant Historian, who will share the story of Colonel Peck, during the Revolution, and the enduring legacy of those who shaped our community’s earliest days. Following the presentation, participants will join a guided hike to the gravesite to pay tribute and experience this important landmark firsthand. Dates:Tuesday, June 30 – 3:00 PMTuesday, August 11 – 3:00 PM Location:Lake Pleasant Library, followed by a short guided hike to the gravesite Community members, families, and history enthusiasts of all ages are warmly invited to attend. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for the hike. Join us as we preserve and celebrate the stories that built our region and continue to inspire future generations.
