From the intersection of Route 28 and Route 30 in Indian Lake follow Route 28/30 toward Blue Mountain Lake. Continue for just over 2.25 miles and turn left on Cedar River Road. Follow that for 11.3 miles to the pond and the Northville/Placid Trail on the right. There is limited parking here.
Fishing
There is ample access to the shore from Cedar River Road and via short spur trails from the Northville-Placid Trail on the northeast side. Only canoes and kayaks are permitted at this primitive boat launch.
Wakely Pond might not have an abundance of large fish, but it does have a solid quantity to catch.
This pond's popularity lies in the easy canoe access and the seclusion it offers anglers.
