Join us for a family friendly presentation and discussion
led by the American Honey Princess at the Lake Pleasant Library on September 18th at 1:00 PM
This family oriented program is for all ages. The American Honey Princess, Virginia Allen, will
speak about honeybees and pollination, the varied roles of the honeybee in the hives, and the
dynamic beekeeping industry. She will also share many tips and tricks about honey, proving
that, from taste to texture, honey can really surprise you. Join us for this interactive and
informative presentation and discussion.
As the American Honey Princess, Virginia serves as a national spokesperson on behalf of the
American Beekeeping Federation. Her aim is to educate the public by sharing their experience
and knowledge of beekeeping the industry.. The beekeeping industry touches the lives of every
individual in our country. Virginia, an experienced beekeeper with her family’s apiary in Texas,
will be speaking about the importance of honeybees to the public’s daily lives and how
honeybees pollinate crops from coast to coast. Honeybees are responsible for nearly one-third
of our entire diet, in regards to the pollination services that they provide for a large majority of
fruits, vegetables, nuts and legumes.
