Rail Jam at Oak Mountain: 5:00pm Third rail competition of the season under the lights. Entry Fee is $5. Cool Prizes. Limited to 25 people.
Annual Superbowl Party at the Inn at Speculator: Come enjoy food and drink specials while you watch the big game.
Lions Club Poker Run: Registration 9:00am-12:00pm at the Lemon Tree and Oxbow Inn. All stops close at 2:30pm, all cards need to be turned in no later than 3:00pm at The Inn at Speculator for awards. All stops are snowmobile and auto accessible. Sponsored by the Speculator Lions Club. All proceeds to benefit Lions Club charities.
7 pm at the Morehouse Rec Center. Dessert and Coffee from the wonderful Morehouse Lady's Club
8 pm fireworks - fireworks over the snow are awesome
Sunday the 12th
Bonfire, Fireworks and Tree Burning: Starts at 2:00pm at the Oxbow Inn. Gather up the family and join the Pleasant Riders Snowmobile Club for a day of winter activities and fun.
Sledding, Bonfire, Live Music, Professional Wood Carving and Fireworks. Refreshments provided by and event sponsored by the Pleasant Riders Snowmobile Club. Donations for fireworks accepted at the Oxbow Inn.
Monday the 13th
13th Annual Valentine's Buffet: 5:00-7:00pm at the Lake Pleasant School. Adults $10.00, Seniors $9.00, Kids ages 6-12 $7.00, Kids ages 5 and under are FREE. Menu: Chicken Cordon Bleu, Baked Potato with Fixings, Corn, Salad, Rolls and Dessert. Proceeds go to benefit Lake Pleasant Central School's Seventh Grade Class. Pancake Breakfast: 8:00am to 11:00am at the Morehouse Rec Center. Sponsored by the Morehouse Volunteer Fire Company. $7 for adults and $5 for children.

Snow Sculpting: asking individuals, families and groups to construct snow sculptures throughout Speculator and Lake Pleasant. Snowmen, snow forts, animals, buildings, whatever you want to construct, no theme. Call Joan Tracy, 548-4075 for a place to contruct your snow sculpture. Needs to be done by Feb. 18th. Will be judged during the week of Feb. 19th. 1st prize $25, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons and certificates to all who participate. Sponsored by Historical Society for the Bicentennial celebration.

Day of Excitement at Oak Mountain: 3:00pm-Ski Patrol Fundraiser. Come take your chance at a bunch of cool raffles to benefit our Ski Patrol! 5pm-Karaoke. Sacandaga Challenge. If you like gates, freestyle, competition and cool prizes then this event is for you! We will have 4 categories (Men’s ski, Men’s ride, Women’s ski, Women’s Ride) You must be over 10 to enter. $10 entry fee includes a t-shirt! Sign up now because we only have 25 spots! Prizes for the winners! Italian Night: 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Various Italian Dishes made by area chefs plus spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread and desserts.
Night Skiing and Riding until 9:00pm.
Free Pancake Breakfast sponsored by Lake Pleasant Vol. Fire Department. Sunday February 19, 2012, 7 am - 12 pm. To be held at the Lake Pleasant Fire Station, South Shore Road, Lake Pleasant. Menu to include: Pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, coffee, orange juice. A 50/50 raffle will be held. There is still chances to get in on our annual raffle to be drawn during our annual picnic in July. Come out and have a hearty breakfast with your family and friends. As always, donations are gratefully accepted.

Dummy Big Air Contest: Build a dummy that will go down a ramp and off a jump. Must be attached to skis or a snowboard. Your dummy will be judged on creativity, best crash and biggest air. Entry Fee $25. Cash Prize for first place. Second Torchlight Parade of the season. Kids parade (12 and under), followed by instructors's parade.
