Ready for a Summer Vacation?

Its time to pack up the RV and hit the road! Summer is just around the corner and the Adirondacks is the place to be. Whether you prefer to immerse yourself in the wilderness, or you like to get out and mingle with the locals, there is plenty for you to do here! We have tons of events going on all summer, with more being added all the time.

Great Adirondack Garage Sale

During Memorial Day weekend from May 27th-29th, the Great Adirondack Garage Sale will be taking place! Spanning from Malone to Piseco — and everywhere in between — you are bound find some cool treasures and much-have items along the way.

Adirondack Birding FestivalAdirondack Birding Festival

The 12th annual Adirondack Birding Festival will be from June 10th-11th this year. There will be trips taking place in Morehouse, Speculator, Indian Lake, Raquette Lake, and more. Make sure to get signed up now, as spots are going fast!

Black fly Challenge Inlet

Black Fly CHallenge

On June 11th the Black Fly Challenge will start in Inlet and head to Indian Lake, covering over 40 grueling miles of dirt, gravel, and pavement. With turnouts nearing 800 participants, get signed up now and don't miss out on this one-of-a-kind race. (If you aren't much for biking, spectating is free!)

Speculator Fourth of July

4th of July

The Fourth of July is one of the biggest celebrations in the heart of the Adirondacks and there is something going on in almost every town! Indian Lake and Speculator will celebrate on  Saturday, July 2nd, and Raquette Lake, Long Lake, and Inlet will celebrate on July 4th!

Piseco Triathlon

Taking place on July 16th this year, suit up to compete as an individual or a team in the Piseco Triathlon! The event consists of a .5-mile swim, 11.5-mile bike ride, and a 3-mile run around Piseco Lake. Contact the Speculator Region Chamber of Commerce to get registered!

Arts in the Park

Arts In the park

The annual Arts in the Park festival will take place in Inlet at Arrowhead Park. The event features a variety of vendors with lots of great handmade merchandise! Join us on July 16th and 17th to check out the live music, food, and goods for sale.

Adirondack CHallengeAdirondack Challenge Block Party

This year we'll hold the 4th annual Adirondack Challenge in Indian Lake. There will be tons of activities throughout the weekend of July 16th and 17th! Get your groove on with live music at the Adirondack Challenge Block Party played by the Fulton Chain Gang, and be sure to  stop by Byron Park where there will be lots of fun stuff to do!

Made in the adirondacks fair

Hosted by the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake, the Made in the Adirondacks Fair is included with general admission on July 23rd. Here you can find great crafts and food made right here in the Adirondacks, as well as enjoy performances and demonstrations! 

WW Durant Lake Tour

Durant Days

Raquette Lake will hold their annual Durant Days Weekend over August 6th and 7th. There will be tours of the lake on the W.W. Durant, tours of the Great Camps, and more including live music and fireworks. Be sure to check out the boat parade!

Old Home DaysOld Home Days Wells

Each August, Wells puts on its yearly Old Home Days Festival — this year on August 6th and 7th! With carnival rides and food, a parade, and the crowning of Miss Old Home Days, this is one event that will be sure to take you back to the good ole times!

Heart of the park craft fairHeart of the Park Long Lake

The Mt. Sabattis Pavilion in Long Lake will house the Heart of the Park Craft Fair where just $1 will get you admission! There will be lots of great jewelry, photography, canoe paddles, and more for sale. 

Lane 10k Lane 10K

If you are a runner, don't miss out on the Lane 10K — one of the toughest 10Ks around! This race runs its course along the south shore of Lake Pleasant, with medals awarded for the top 3 runners in each category.

Hamilton County History Fair

The Hamilton County History Fair will take place on August 13th right alongside an 1812 reinactment! Come check out what the historians from each region have to share about our now 200-year -old county! There will be live music and demonstrations.

Raquette Lake's Busiest Day

Also on August 13th is Raquette Lake's Busiest Day. There will be a craft fair, book sale, an auction by the fire department and ambulance squad, and more! With things going on all around Raquette Lake, it really is a busy day.

Ongoing Events

There are some events that continue all summer long: The Speculator Farmers' Market is every Thursday; the Inlet Concert Series in Arrowhead Park is every Saturday night;  and the Indian Lake Farmers' Market is every Saturday.
